Robert "Bruce" Griffis entered into rest at Lakeridge Health Oshawa Thursday, February 1, 2023 at the age of 79. Bruce was the son of the late Harry and Jean (nee Johnston) Griffis.  Loved brother of Bonnie (David) Collins and sister in law Lois Hocking.  Cherished uncle of Angela (Larry) Griffis Forman, Kevin Griffis, Mike (Christine) McGill, Lisa (Brian) McGill, Mary-Jean Collins, great nephews Benjamin, and Mackenzie Forman and Lion Saunders. Predeceased by his sister Gail (Garrie) McGill and his brother Douglas Griffis. Past Preceptory  RBP (Black Night) #763 Oshawa, Past Master Loyal Orange #2697 Whitby, member of #649 Temple Lodge and #2697 Vimy Memorial Lodge. Members of the Loyal Orange Lodge and visiting members are asked to assemble at the Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 8th at 5:00pm. for a service.   Visitation will take place at Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay on Wednesday, February 8th from 3:00pm. to 5:00pm. Funeral service will take place at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church Thursday, February 9th at 1:00pm. with a reception to follow.  Interment to follow at Riverside Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Cancer Centre at Lakeridge Health Oshawa would be appreciated by the family.
