Obituary for Bob Richards

RICHARDS, ROBERT GORDON (BOBBY) 67 years old, of Fenelon Falls, Ontario passed away with family by his side on July 7th, 2022.

Bobby was born in Oshawa, Ontario (1954-10-23).  He graduated from Anderson Collegiate in Whitby and moved out west to start up his own sheet-metal roofing company.  He moved back to Ontario when he had an accident on the job and was unable to continue his profession.

Bobby was a great collector of all types of music.  His favorite bands, were the Rolling Stones, Eagles, Elvis, Johnny Cash just to name a few.  He enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson and cruising in his corvette until he had a stroke in 2017 which caused him to lose the use of his left side.  He always took an interest in learning, history and politics and never lost a game of trivial pursuit.  He enjoyed watching hockey and in his younger years was a good hockey player himself.

Bobby is survived by his loving wife Eva Henderson, his 3 children, Ryder, Jaclyn and Danny and his 5 grandchildren Mekah, Kohen, Olivia, Sadie and Blake, Mother Emilie Colbourne, Sister Sandra Gray (Dave), brother Terry Richards (Gail), Step-sister Leda Fulford (Derek), Step-brother Thomas Colbourne (Susan) and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

Bobby is predeceased by his father Bob Richards (Eleanor), sister Maureen Good (John), Step-brother Mark Robert Richards.

May he find peace in heaven that he could not find here on earth.  “You have the sun; you have the moon and you have The Rolling Stones” – Keith Richards

In respect of Bobby’s wishes, cremation has taken place through Mackey Funeral Home in Lindsay.  A private celebration of life is being held for Bobby with his family.
