Robert James “Munroe” Scott - Passed away peacefully at his Adelaide Place Residence on September 15th, 2019 at the age of 92. Loving husband of the late Hilda Mary Davison, Munroe was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and a great friend to many. He dedicated his life to his family and to his writing. Proudly Canadian, Munroe spent over 62 years as a successful free-lance writer, never losing his love for the written word. Munroe is the loving father of David Scott (Janet), Ian Scott (Marnie) and Dr. Rob Scott (Krista). Cherished grandfather of Michael, Kendra, Caitlin, Ryland and Donny. Great grandfather to Clayton, Foster and Fletcher. Munroe will be fondly remembered by his dear friend Ivy Szobonya and her family in Oceanside California. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service/celebration of life, will take place at Celebrations, 35 Lindsay Street North, Lindsay, on Saturday, October 26th at 1:00 pm, followed by a reception until 4:00 p.m. If desired, a memorial donation to Prostate Cancer Canada would be appreciated by the family and may be made at Mackey Funeral Home, Peel Street Lindsay or online at wwww.mackeys.ca.
