Robert (Bob) Irwin Thurston 

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Bob on Saturday December 3, 2022 at the age of 72 after a courageous battle with cancer. Bob was the beloved son of the late Frank and Susie Thurston, loving partner of Karen Deavitt and devoted father to Jennifer Thurston (Drew), Rhonda Ross (Ron), Robert Thurston (Danielle) and Jonathan Thurston. Bob will be sadly missed by Matt Deavitt (Jennifer), Shaun Deavitt and Melissa Latter (Shawn) and family. Loving brother of the late Laura Thurston Campbell (Patrick), Mary MacDougall (James), Elaine Becker (Al), Sally Imrie (Dave), Francis Thurston. Bob will be greatly missed by his good friend Lisa Loader, previous daughter-in-law Marlese Lair and previous wife Marilyn Warner (Roger). Cherished grandfather of Damian, Joshua, Jocelyn, Samantha, Jaxson, Mitchell, Jasmine, Meghan, Courtney, Katelyn and Taylor and his great grandchildren.  Bob will be sadly missed by his cousins, many nieces and nephews, friends and neighbours. Bob will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a loving father, hard working farmer, dedicated custodian and for those that knew him, he was caring, generous and always willing to lend a hand. A Celebration of Life will take place at the Dunsford United Church Hall on January 14, 2023 from 1pm to 4pm for anyone that would like to celebrate and share in the memories of his life.  Anyone wishing to make a donation in memory of Bob, the family suggests donating to The Humane Society of Lindsay, due to Bob's love of animals.  Donations entrusted to Mackey Funeral Home in Lindsay, Ontario. The family extends they're sincere thanks to all the doctors and nurses throughout Bob’s care.
