Rosamond Eakins, crossed over to the spirit world at St. Joseph’s at Fleming on Monday, July 29, 2019, in her 90th year. Ros was the beloved wife of the late Harold Eakins and the late Neil O’Reilly. Mother of Maureen (John) Hodges and Peggy (Steve) Shaughnessy. Grandmother to Kate, Liz and Brooke Shaughnessy and Theresa and Patricia Baye and 11 great-grandchildren. She was a step-mother to Gord (Julie), Steve (Loretta), Doug (Linda), Glen and (Reg and Jim predeceased). Also, daughter in law Margaret Eakins. Grandchildren, Dallas and Lori, Kim, Mark, Terri and Jake, Stephanie and Tabbatha, Tammy and Jordie, Reginald and Lindsay and 19 great grandchildren and 1 great-great. She is also survived by her brother John (Charlene) O’Keefe and many nieces and nephews. She held a special spot for Deanna (Dave) Heffernan. She is predeceased by her parents Cora Trembley and Hubert O’Keefe, and her brother Francis. She will be buried on August 13th at 11 a.mm at Little Britain United Church Cemetery. A celebration of her life will follow the burial at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Peterborough on August 13, 2019 at 1:00 pm.
