Obituary for Sharan Gosling

It is with great sadness we share the peaceful passing of Sharan Patricia Gosling (Stephens) in Belleville Ontario on January 18, 2023.  Born in 1943 she loved a good laugh with family and friends along with walks, skiing, fishing, camping, windsurfing, curling, and travelling. Over the years, Sharan was a loving wife, mother, friend, grandmother, x-ray technician at Sick Kids Toronto Hospital, dental hygienist, and business owner and operator.

Daughter of the late Arthur and Irene Stephens. Beloved wife of the late Gordon Gosling. Proud and loving mother of Greg (Barbara) and Graham (Cherie). Dear grandmother of Jocelyn, Darien, Tara, Olivia, and Carson. Sister-in-law of Nina and Paul Grills, the late William and Jean Gosling, Sonya and the late Frank Gosling, and Carol and the late Gordon Catt. Pre-deceased by Patrick Morris (friend), and Ruth Stephens and Jean Davis (Aunts). Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.

Supported by so many friends during the time of illness. Thanks to all for their care and help throughout her difficult journey. Time attending appointments became more about the companionship with so many of you. We know she cherished that. The family also wishes to extend their sincere thanks to all the care givers and medical professionals who helped over the many years.

Friends and family are invited to attend the funeral service in person at Mackey Funeral Home (Lindsay, Ontario) on Wednesday, February 8th at 1 PM. Visitation will begin at noon. After the service, the internment will take place at Riverside Cemetery (Lindsay, Ontario) with a luncheon afterwards. If you are unable to attend the service in person, information for the live-stream will be provided. St. Marks United (Cannifton, Ontario) will also be planning a live-stream option of the service on their screens at the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sharan’s memory to Belleville General Hospital Oncology Department, St. Marks Church (Cannifton), or Fixed Fur Life (Belleville).

Arrangements by Mackey Funeral Home, Lindsay.  Live feed from St. Marks Church at the time of the servcie
