Shirley Kathleen Kirkley, nee Sayers ~ July 1,1936 - August 17, 2023

On Thursday, August 17, 2023 at Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay, Ontario due to complications after a fall at her home, Shirley Kirkley, loving wife of the late Peter Kirkley (1996) passed away.  Shirley practiced nursing for many years.  First in an industrial setting and later in a dermatology office.  She will be greatly missed by her daughter Debra, grandchildren Angela, Stephen, Colin and Connor. Besides the loss of Peter, she was greatly affected by the loss of her son Michael and his wife Sandy in 2002, a tragedy that she never got over.  Shirley will also be missed by her brother Bill (Bernetta), sisters in law Maureen (John, 2022) and Claudia, brother in law Thom (Kathy), numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by her twin sister Sylvia (2010) and her youngest brother David (2012).  As per Shirley’s wishes there will be no service, and her ashes will be placed next to Peter at a later date.
