STUART; Velma Bernice (née Parker) – Passed away peacefully at Hyland Crest Nursing Home, Minden on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 with family by her side. Velma in her 79th year was the beloved wife of the late John Stuart (2012). Loving mother of Karen Coons (Doug Devitt), Sandra Brinklow (Dale), Janet Stuart (Danny Barr), Heather Stuart and “adopted daughter” Marielaine Mackie (Jim). Loved grandmother of Andrew Coons (Lucy), Emily Mackie (Matt), Cianna Hancock (Ryan), Dani Stuart, Amber Petherick and great-grandmother of Robyn and Carter Coons. Dear sister of Lloyd (Verna) and Wilbert Parker. Predeceased by her parents William and Ethel Parker and her brothers Gordon and William Parker. Velma will be remembered by her many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A Celebration of Life will take place at the Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay on Saturday, September 29th from 10:30 until 12:00p.m. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Lindsay.
