Condolence: It is with great sadness we have have to say goodbye to such a wonderful man, who was always there for everyone. My boys enjoyed being coached by Vince he was tough on all of them and that's what made them strong and tough rugby players. We will miss his wonderful smile that was always there know matter what was going on. Vince will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

Condolence From: Peter, Bobbie Mitchell and Family
Condolence: To Grace, Bronwen, Derek and your families please accept our deepest sympathies and sincerest condolences. Vince was not only a dear and close friend of our family, but also a true mentor for me. I would describe him as a man of both honour and faith. He taught us that if one intends to lead he must do it with respect for others and with the honour of strong moral character. His faith in people was unwavering. He had faith in the creation of LRFC. He had faith in that rag-tag group of young men that stepped on the field to become the foundation of the Club. He had faith in us becoming strong members of our community. We can only hope that we have lived up to his expectations and continue to emulate his philosophies of life. His presence will always be felt at both the field of play and in our hearts. Bobbie and I will miss the Sunday morning visits and the delivery of the latest vintage bottle blended by Vince. The memories will last forever and will be remembered with great joy. The rugby club upstairs has the best Coach now, I am sure he has already started recruiting his new team. Our entire family has you in our prayers.

Condolence: I was saddened to hear of the passing of Vince. When I was posted to the Woodstock OPP Detachment in 1959 Vince was the first to greet me. As I did not have a place to stay Vince asked me to stay at his place, which I did for a few days until our home was ready. Over the years we were both transferred from Woodstock and our paths did not cross again. He was a great guy and I will always have those fond memories of Vince. My deepest sympathy to the family.

Condolence: To the family of Vince Jones. My deepest condolences on the loss of Vince. I never had the chance to meet this iconic figure, but from all accolades I have read about him, and heard about from the people he has coached, it a great loss for everyone. Being a coach, it is hard to imagine all the lives that one has touched over the years of being involved in sport. As well, having a job that required so much community involvement, Vince was certainly well known. God bless all of you and keep you in his touch.

Condolence: Bronwen and family: I send my deepest sympathies to the family for your loss of a wonderful man. For many years vince was the brewmaster and sommelier for the annual Mystery Dinner that was held at St. Paul's Anglican Church. Also, many truly appreciated his very tasty Welsh scones that he served after church services to the delight of everyone. You will miss his energy. God Bless all of you at this difficult time.

Condolence: Our deepest sympathies to Grace, Bronwen and Derek. Our loving fond memories of Vince go back to 1971 with the Forest City RFC. As a recent arrival in Canada, Vince welcomed us with open arms and we formed a very warm friendship. Although we lost touch the past few years, we will always have wonderful memories of Vince and his family. Rest easy old friend.

Condolence: My sincere condolences to the family of Vince Jones, a true champion of rugby in Ontario. I first met Vince in the late 1970s while I was playing for the Belleville Bulldogs at a tournament in Oshawa. Only one of our carloads of players had arrived prior to our first match and we were forced to play 8 on 15 until our other carload got there, or default. Vince heard about our plight, appeared on our sideline and cheered us on until our other guys arrived to save the day. I still remember him yelling at us: "Well done Belleville! That is great rugby spirit!" Later we crossed paths many times in the old Mid-Ontario Rugby Union days when Vince was building what is today a very strong program in Lindsay. Rugby has lost a wonderful and dedicated servant. He will be greatly missed.

Condolence: I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Vince. I have fond memories of his coaching our girls high school rugby team with Alan - the two of them had endless patience and encouragement. Vince was a great friend of my dad and I know that they both enjoyed eachother's company very much. His kind words following my father's sudden passing last year brought great comfort to us. My deepest sympathies for your loss.

Condolence: I am deeply saddened to hear of Vince's passing. I would like to offer my most sincere condolences to Grace, Derek, and Bronwen. Vince was my first Detachment Commander when I joined the O.P.P. in 1979, and we were neighbours in Fenelon Falls until I transferred to Northwestern Ontario in 1986. I will always remember Vince as one of the kindest gentlemen that I had the privilege to work for. My thoughts and prayers are with your entire family at this difficult time.
