William "Bill" Bates ~ entered into rest at the Ross Memorial Hospital, Lindsay on Saturday January 22, 2022 in his 89th year. Bill was a retired teacher with the Etobicoke Board of Education. Loving husband of Karen Brigitte Bates and long-time resident of the City of Kawartha Lakes. Survived by son Stephen (Joanne Clay). Cherished grandfather of Nicole and husband Andy, Chantelle, Stephanie, and Brandon and great grandfather of Trinity, Austin, Brock and TJ. He will be greatly missed by his brother Jim and his wife Sharon, nephew Justin and Bill’s many relatives. Founder and Life Member of the Kawartha Male Chorus, Lindsay, Life Member of the Queensmen of Toronto Male Chorus, Life Member & Past President of the Associated Male Choruses of America and the AMC of Ontario. A private family service will be on Wednesday January 26, 2022. If desired, memorial donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
