Simmons, Bill (William Thomas) – Passed away suddenly on July 14, 2016 at the age of 70. Bill was the beloved husband and soul mate of 42 years of Diane Simmons, and the loving father of Tyler Simmons (Michelle). Bill will be missed by his mom Betty Simmons and predeceased by the late Jack. Bill leaves behind his sisters Nancy Horn (Dan), Karen Mortimer (Dave) and Julie Simmons. Bill will be sorely missed by his in-laws, nieces and nephews and many friends. He will also be missed in the horse auction community. Bill made the world a better place with his kindness, storytelling, wondrous sense of humour and love. A memorial visitation will be held at the Mackey Funeral Home, 33 Peel Street, Lindsay (705) 328-2721 on Wednesday, July 20th from 7:00 – 9:00p.m. and Thursday, July 21st from 2:00 until time of Funeral Service in the Chapel at 3:00p.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation through the funeral home or online at www.mackeys.ca
