CLOSS, Wilmer (Willy) Graham ~ Entered into rest at Extendicare Kawartha Lakes on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at the age of 87. Wilmer Closs was the beloved husband for 57 years to Joan Nixon. Much loved father of Jeff and his wife Michelle Closs, Diane and her husband Joe Banks, and Tom and his wife Caroline Downward. Cherished grandfather of Laura Banks, Lisa (Barry) Hill, Andrea (Noah) Banks, Stephanie (Eric) Duncan, Angela (Kirk) Caza, Zachary Closs, Sarah Closs, and great grandfather of Jacob and Michael, Cloe, Violet and Jax, Lena, Max and Anna. Dearly loved by his brother-in-law Bruce Mitchell and sisters-in-law Judy (Carl) Mansfield, Carol (John) Hendry, as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by siblings Eileen, Charlie, Reg and Reta, and sister-in-law Janis Mitchell. Willy was a lifetime lover of hockey and the Toronto Maple Leafs, and was well known for the many houses, cottages, and trailers he owned and built over the years. He had a passion for dogs and loved spending time with his family gathered together. Following cremation, family and friends are invited to Celebrations, 35 Lindsay Street North in Lindsay, Ontario on Saturday February 26th from 11:00 am until time of the memorial service at 12:00 pm. Proof of vaccination, masks and social distancing will be required.
