Although I have not seen Deanne since I taught her in Grade 3, in my first teaching assignment at Postville, I vividly recall her delight in school and her desire to be a "helper" in any way she could. All of her family were so warm and welcoming to new teachers who came to the community. It's sad to realize she, her brother, sister, and father are no longer with us. However, they will all remain in the memories of so many who appreciated the "goodness of their spirit." My condolences to all of you in your mourning and my prayer is for divine comfort to get you through your time of sorrow.
