Enid and I were friends for almost 80 years. During our years at S.S # 9 Ops public school we were best friends....enjoyed overnights and summer holidays together at our farm homes, roamed the fields, climbed the trees and rode the farm horses bareback. We sang duets and played piano duets. I also attended some services at Reaboro Baptist Church. Over the years we have always been in touch, receiving her annual U.F.M. Christmas newsletter from France, and sometimes saw her when she was home on furlough. She visited our homes in Cobourg and Mississauga and we tried to visit her annually in Lindsay. She attended our wedding and 50 years later in 2006, our Anniversary celebration Brunch, where she said the Grace.
Enid was curious, inquisitive, positive and had a sense of humour. She was a nature lover, birder, hiker, skier, world traveller, a dedicated missionary and teacher, as well as a steadfast friend and confidant. I will miss our phone conversations every second week.
Jack and I send our condolences to Rosemary, and the Skuce and Burke families, as well as the Fairview Baptist Church family.

Enid was an avid bird watcher. We drove out to Carden Plain one beautiful sunny day a few years ago to see the birds. I will always cherish this and other times out in God's creation with Enid. I will miss you Enid but I know that you will be eternally happy in the arms of your Saviour, Jesus!
