Betty Patton

I'm Betty Patton the wife of John Patton Merv's Son and I have written a Poem In Memory Of Merv Patton.

Saying Goodbye

Today was a sad day Wed. Oct 7, 2020
It was the day my husbands Father Merv died
Came as a shock was not expected or prepared
Thought he was doing not too bad, with this news started to cry

Not only was he my husbands Father
But for me as my husband’s wife, he was my second Father
Lost my Father long ago but John’s Father filled in
He was a dear sweet man with tears my eyes are a blur

What do you say about a man
Who put others before himself in many ways
A man that when he worked he put the customer first
He had such a big heart, but wouldn’t always show it,
he would not look for it, but deserves praise.

At this point would like to quote a verse from the Bible John 5:24

Jesus, God’s Son said… “Verily, verily, I say unto you,
He that hears my Word, and believes on Him that sent Me,
has everlasting life, and shall not come into Condemnation; but is
passed from death unto life.”

Today for Merv we won’t grieve
But will look up into Heaven and see
Merv is with the Angels on high
Surrounded by love, this is my prayer for thee.
