The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Verna Joyce Carslake can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Fay and Bill Carslake

You are going to be missed by all of us more than you can imagine. You were there from the beginning during our courtship...wedding...babies and everything in between. You were a wonderful teacher of baking....I still remember the day that my apple pie was taste tested by the family and they actually chose mine...you were an amazing sport and a wonderful teacher.....I have never had another pie taste so good. You were there when your darling Michael was born and he seemed to your pride and joy...his sisters...Jill and Katie who arrived a few years later would just never measure up to his cute smile and red hair. You spoiled him and he enjoyed every moment of it. You were there to celebrate many birthdays....anniversary's and then the arrival of our beautiful grandchildren--who are your great grandchildren.....Jack..Eddie.. Madalynn..Theodore ...Aubree and your newest on his way. They were there to visit you on your last days here and they all enjoyed visiting you in your new home. The importance of family really came through when we were visiting you. You must be so proud of Bill JR. as he would not leave your side for a minute. He is going to miss stopping in for coffee..sharing stories and he will really miss you calling him Tom Selleck....I never understood why you thought he looked like Tom Selleck...but it made him feel good. He loves you with all of his heart as do all of us. We enjoyed many ...many wonderful dinners together and I often think of you and how you helped me become a wonderful cook today.....we love you dearly and will keep you in our hearts forever. We will meet again someday and I will then look forward to beating you at a game of golf....love...love...love....From all of us.....
