I was saddened when my brother Phil let me know of George's transition from this existence. May his journey be gentle, and his destination be peaceful and loving. I have many wonderful youthful memories of Sweetnam family reunions when both George and Lee's families made much of the story telling, caring, sharing and merriment. You have my heart felt empathy during this time of shift and change to life. I do not know what you are all feeling as every relationship has its own unique aspects. I do know about loss, grief and sadness. I pray that you feel fully supported as you process what is important to you, for what ever time you need. There will be many challenging firsts without George yet knowing that you are fully loved will get you through, so will memories.
